Rachel Yankey is a role model within female professional football, having become the most capped player for the England national team with an impressive 129 caps. Since retiring, Rachel has moved into football coaching and became the first team coach of the London Bees. Passionately championing women’s professional football and the inclusion of female football managers, Rachel is now booked as a female motivational speaker to empower and inspire other women to follow careers as professional footballers.

First playing football in her youth, Rachel’s senior career began at age 16 playing for Arsenal Ladies. From that point on, Rachel marked her name in the history books, also playing for teams such as Laval Dynamites, New Jersey Wildcats, Birmingham Ladies, Fulham Ladies and Notts County Ladies. She also made her senior debut for the England national team in 1997, soon becoming one of the most famous female footballers after she appeared on the FA women’s homepage header and modelled the new England kits.

Rachel also made headlines as one of the first 17 female players to be awarded a contract by The Football Association. She has also played as a key member in the Team GB London 2012 Olympic Games football squad and scored an impressive 98 goals across her footballing career. Rachel has also claimed countless awards, such as induction into the National Football Museum, Nationwide International Player of the Year and induction into the London Youth Games Hall of Fame. Outside of playing and coaching football, Rachel is also widely known for presenting Footy Pups on CBeebies.

Having become one of the most famous and iconic female professional footballers, Rachel is now booked as a female motivational speaker to empower other women to get into football.
