Joanne Lockwood is an inclusion and belonging specialist, widely known as the founder and CEO of SEE Change Happen. Having gone through her own journey of transition to become the woman she is today, Joanne is also a passionate advocate for transgender awareness and often booked as a female motivational speaker to spread awareness of diversity and inclusion.
Back in 2017, Joanne founded SEE Change Happen- a consultancy specialising in equality, diversity and inclusion. As the CEO of the firm, Joanne has made it her mission to ensure that more businesses are trans-inclusive, whether that be with their staff or with their customers and clients. Providing trans inclusion readiness audits, Joanne and her team ensure that businesses build environments that are supportive of the trans and LGBT communities and that their teams are inclusive and dynamic.
Joanne is also the host of the Inclusion Bites podcast, in which she shares stories on inclusion in the real world and discusses how to make the world around us a more diverse and inclusive place. Other prominent roles of Joanne’s include being an Associate Consultant for Housing Diversity Network, the founder of #TruInclusion, an Unleash Ambassador, a Fellow of The RSA and an Associate Member of The Institute of Equality and Diversity Professionals. Joanne has also been the National President of the Round Table Great Britain and Ireland, contributed to the Channel 4 documentary The Making of Me and supports the Chrysalis charity- whose motto is Gender Identity Matters.
