Jo Hurley is a Registered Nutritional Therapist, reproductive health specialist and experienced speaker who makes complex and often overlooked areas of fertility and women’s health accessible to wider audiences. Combining expertise in nutrition with the rapidly developing science of the reproductive microbiome, Jo explores how factors including inflammation, gut health, lifestyle and nutrition can influence reproductive wellbeing. With a particular interest in both male and female fertility, she challenges narrow approaches to reproductive health by encouraging more comprehensive conversations about the body. Her ability to translate emerging research into relevant, engaging insights makes her a compelling women’s health and wellbeing speaker.
Jo’s career initially developed within media, advertising and communications. Beginning as a Promotions Executive at News International in 2007, she gained experience across television and film before progressing into commercial and programme management. In 2013, Jo joined Carat as Innovation Manager, later becoming Programme Director. She subsequently held senior positions including Project Director at WPP, Digital Programme Director at Ogilvy and Project Director at Dentsu Creative. More than a decade working in demanding programme and operational roles gave Jo firsthand insight into corporate environments, workplace pressures and the relationship between health, energy and professional performance.
In 2022, Jo established Jo Hurley Health and began working as a Clinical Nutritionist, marking a significant transition towards reproductive health and nutrition. She later joined reproductive microbiome testing company ScreenMe as Nutrition and Education Adviser, supporting women, men and couples navigating fertility challenges and wider reproductive health concerns. Jo is also beginning an MRes in Reproductive Science and Women’s Health at University College London, further developing her understanding of emerging reproductive research. Through her FeedYourFanny platform, she takes education beyond the clinical environment, creating approachable content that opens conversations around vaginal, uterine and seminal microbiomes and their potential relevance to reproductive wellbeing.
Jo is hired as a speaker for her distinctive combination of scientific knowledge, clinical nutrition expertise and extensive corporate experience. Speaking on women’s health, menopause, fertility, nutrition, energy and performance, she understands how to make sensitive and scientifically complex subjects relevant to diverse audiences. Her background with major organisations including Ogilvy, WPP and Carat also enables her to connect reproductive wellbeing with workplace conversations. By approaching fertility as an issue involving both women and men, Jo delivers inclusive, informative talks that encourage audiences to better understand their bodies and make informed decisions about their health.
