Helen Clark is the former Prime Minister of New Zealand, who made history as the second woman to become the Prime Minister of the country. Establishing a strong reputation for her passions for gender equality, female empowerment and environmental sustainability, Helen is widely regarded as a role model for women worldwide. Back in 1999, Helen became the Prime Minister of New Zealand and served in the role until 2008. During her time as Prime Minister, Helen was particularly interested in social policy and international affairs and ensured that there was equality in positions of power by electing women as Chief of Justice and Governor-General. Other prominent roles of Helen’s include being the Leader of the Opposition and the Shadow Spokesperson for Health and Labour.
