Christen Gilchrist

Christen Gilchrist is an Organisational Psychologist, recognised for her work helping leaders create high-performing, human-centred teams. With over 14 years’ experience across mental health, organisational development, and leadership consulting, her perspective is grounded, practical, and deeply human. Christen’s career began on the NHS frontline, where she worked in high-pressure mental health settings, supporting people in crisis and navigating decisions with real emotional weight. These early experiences shaped her belief that leadership behaviour, systems, and culture directly affect wellbeing, performance, and long-term success.

Christen went on to complete an MSc in Organisational Psychology and built a career spanning the NHS, public sector, global consultancies, and corporate boardrooms. She has led service improvement programmes, delivered full-cycle organisational change, and supported leadership development from aspiring managers to executive level. Her work consistently focuses on uncovering the unseen dynamics behind inefficiency, such as disengagement, decision bottlenecks, and misaligned leadership behaviour. Christen is known for translating evidence-based psychology into practical action, helping organisations address problems at their root rather than treating surface symptoms.

In 2020, Christen founded Core Potential Solutions, where she works internationally across the UK, Middle East, Europe, and Australia. As Founder and Lead Organisational Psychologist, she supports founders, senior leadership teams, and complex organisations through growth, restructuring, and transformation. Alongside this, she holds multiple Associate Business Psychologist roles with respected global consultancies including Aon, Mercer Talent Enterprise, Talogy, and Bailey & French, delivering assessment and development centres, leadership programmes, and psychometric insight at scale. She is currently completing a Professional Doctorate in Occupational Psychology, reinforcing her commitment to evidence, rigour, and professional standards.
