Aisha Hanif is a motorsport engineer, founder of The Unconventional Group Ltd, and an inspiring female motivational speaker who is recognised as one of only five engineers to work directly on ECU software for every Formula One car worldwide. Having led end-to-end vehicle programmes with Ginetta Cars and Formula One projects for the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, Aisha has built a reputation for breaking barriers in one of the world’s most competitive industries. Aisha’s journey began with a First Class degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester before she completed an Advanced Motorsport Engineering MSc at Cranfield University. Alongside her studies, she developed valuable industry experience through roles including Health and Technical Safety Co-ordinator at GKN Automotive and volunteering within race teams. These experiences equipped her with a unique understanding of resilience, technical excellence and determination, qualities that underpin her motivational speaking. Her professional career has progressed rapidly through positions including Graduate Embedded Software Engineer at McLaren Applied, Business Development Associate at SDO Associates, Interim Project Manager at Ginetta Cars and Project Planner for the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team. Leading complex engineering programmes while founding The Unconventional Group Ltd enables Aisha to offer audiences authentic lessons on leadership, innovation, adaptability and succeeding in high-performance environments.
Beyond engineering, Aisha has contributed her expertise to the production and filming of Channel 4’s ‘Pile Up: World’s Largest Crash Test’. She has also delivered talks for the Motorsport Industry Association, Cranfield University, Oxford Brookes University, Motivez and Driven By Us, further establishing her reputation as an engaging communicator.
